Wasabi, also known as Japanese horseradish, is a traditional condiment for sushi and sashimi. This pungent mayonnaise can be made up to one day ahead.
Ingredients
Makes 1/2 cup
1 teaspoon powdered wasabi mixed with 1 teaspoon water
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Directions
Combine the wasabi mixture, lemon juice, and mayonnaise in a small bowl; stir well to combine. Store, covered with plastic wrap, in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
